Pub Quiz

A group of university friends who have grown apart are thrust back together when they team up win a pub quiz. Lucy, Pete and Jo do a weekly pub quiz but have never been able to take the grand prize of first place. They've come close but there always seems to be something missing. By sheer coincidence the former fourth member of their quiz team David shows up with his new girlfriend. Through the chaos and cocktails, over pints and pettiness, fights and frenzy, the team has to find a way to work together in order to win the ultimate prize.

The idea for this came whilst performing at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, and a few of the Courtyard Players remarked about how much fun it would be to perform an entire play in a pub, themed around a pub quiz. What seemed like a throw away idea at the time stayed with Chris Daley and in 2017 he began to write Pub Quiz.

Bringing pretty much a whole new cast together, Pub Quiz debuted at the 2018 Liverpool Fringe Festival, performing as originally planned in a pub - the great Jacaranda. It was very well received and Josephine Sherlock was nominated for Best Supporting Performer at the first ever Liverpool Fringe Festival Awards.

Not being satisfied with that, we're currently working on a more interactive version to make the show feel even more like a Pub Quiz
